About Us

Welcome to Westchester! Home to LAX, the nation’s third busiest airport, Westchester is not just a conduit to greater Los Angeles but a unique community of businesses, families, and students that we are proud to be a part of. From Loyola Marymount University to OTIS College of Art & Design, from ‘the nearest In-N-Out to LAX’ to Kevin Hart’s new vegan Hart House eatery, our community has something for everyone.

The Drollinger Properties of today is very much a reflection of its history, beginning with Ella Drollinger who brought the first Jim Dandy grocery store to Westchester in the 1940’s.

Her son, Howard, then created and grew the business in 1947, serving as President just shy of 60 years. Howard was instrumental to the development of Sepulveda and Westchester, which was matched by his wholehearted dedication to community organizations like Rotary, the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce, Westchester YMCA, and LMU (just at a glance).

Now operated by his daughter, Karen Dial, Drollinger Properties serves as the oldest and largest property management and commercial real estate brokerage firm in Westchester’s Central Business District.

Karen Dial

A third generation Westchesterian and developer, Karen has been the President of Drollinger Properties since 2007. It was her lifelong dream to bring an independent bookstore to the community, which finally came to fruition in 2020.

Karen believes our community’s greatest strength is the diversity, inclusiveness, and synergy brought by our tenants and neighbors. Drollinger Properties is passionate about creating and maintaining beautiful and safe spaces–and we hope you are as proud to be a part of this community as we are.
